| This spoofy "Space Opera" is a classic tale of unrequited love amidst the struggles of survival in an inhospitable land while being caught between rivaling factions. It is homage, presented in a progression of filmic styles commonly used in low budget Science Fiction filmmaking throughout history. The "Storytelling" itself becomes a character as the presentation evolves from a worn out, scratched grindhouse copy of a 50's shlock flick to a slick 2K12 CGI, while baring evidence of manipulation from censors and unscrupulous distributors. Oh yeah, and there's the obligatory twist at the end, that if properly executed, should become painfully obvious before Act III even starts. |
